Backups are boring. You don’t see them working until everything breaks. Then they’re the difference between recovering your files and losing them forever. But nobody backs up until they have to.
The cost of avoiding backups is huge. Lost photos. Lost documents. Lost years of work. The cost of doing backups is small. Ten minutes to set it up. Then it happens automatically. Simple trade-off when you think about what could happen.
