Cloud storage makes sense once you understand what choice you’re actually making.

Cloud storage feels complicated because the choice isn’t actually about the technology. It’s about what stays on your device and what lives in the cloud. Local means it’s yours, on your device. Cloud means it’s backed up somewhere else.

Once you understand that, the rest makes sense. Some things you keep local. Some things you move to the cloud. Most people benefit from having both. The confusion goes away when you see what you’re actually deciding.
