Miss Georgianna Eleanor Heyford may be naught but a gentleman’s daughter, but even she’s heard the rumors about the Earl of Stannis’s exceptional charm and good looks. Surely she can cater his luxurious yacht party without getting swept away. But a terrible misunderstanding leaves Georgianna fired, furious, and with little recompense. Which is precisely when her opportunity for vengeance washes ashore...
Daniel Rutherford, the Earl of Stannis, has absolutely no memory of who he is. They tell him he must have fallen overboard, and the only person he seems to recognize is the lovely Georgianna—who strikes a chord of familiarity...and the faintest memory of heating his blood. Only now this inelegant, poorly dressed woman claims to be his wife!
But the truth is, Georgianna is finally getting her revenge. The dashing earl will work off the money he owes her and no one will be the wiser. Except the longer he stays with her and her younger sisters, the more it feels like he belongs there. And that perhaps he’d find a forever place in Georgianna’s heart...at least, until his memory returns...
Each book in the Unforgettable Love series is STANDALONE:
* A Matter of Temptation
* An Earl to Remember
This book is a delightful historical romance that’s both fun and engaging. The pacing is quick, pulling you into the story right from the start, and it never drags. The heroine is strong, clever, and creative — the kind of character you can’t help but root for. She meets a kind, caring hero whose warmth perfectly balances her spirited nature, and together they share a natural, believable chemistry. Their witty, playful dialogue adds humor throughout, making this an enjoyable read from beginning to end.
One of the standout moments is a memorable dinner scene that’s equal parts funny and charming — the kind of scene that stays with you long after you’ve finished the book. The story builds toward a satisfying, heartwarming conclusion that leaves you smiling.
Although this is the second book in the Unforgettable Love series, it reads perfectly well on its own. The brief mentions of the first book actually piqued my interest and made me want to go back and read it too.
If you enjoy historical romance with strong heroines, sweet heroes, and sparkling banter, this is a book worth picking up. It’s entertaining, romantic, and leaves you with that wonderful feel-good glow. Highly recommended for fans of the genre.
