In Isabella Bradford’s enthralling new trilogy, three noble brothers—London’s most scandalous rakes—are about to do the unthinkable: settle down. Harry Fitzroy, Earl of Hargreave, is the first to meet his match and lose his heart . . . to a lady who’s not all what he expected.
As the eldest son of the Duke of Breconridge, Harry Fitzroy is duty-bound to marry—and marry well. Giving up his rakish ways for the pleasures of a bride’s bed becomes a delightful prospect when Harry chooses beautiful Lady Julia Wetherby, the catch of the season. But a fall from his horse puts a serious crimp in his plans. Abandoned by Julia before he can propose, the unlucky bachelor finds himself trapped in the country in the care of Julia’s younger sister.
Harry has never met a woman like Lady Augusta. Utterly without artifice, Gus is clever and capable, and seems to care not a fig for society. After a taboo kiss awakens passion that takes them both by surprise, Harry realizes he’d almost given his heart to the wrong sister. While London tongues wag, he’ll use his most seductive powers of persuasion to convince the reluctant Gus that she belongs with him—as his equal, his love, his wife.Praise for A Wicked Pursuit

This is one of those stories where the hero starts out chasing the wrong sister, only to realize just in time that his true match was standing beside him all along. It beautifully illustrates that outward beauty can be deceiving, while true inner beauty shines through and becomes even more radiant.
Gus is exactly the kind of heroine I love to read. Though she’s willing to sacrifice herself for her elder sister, she isn’t blind to Julia’s flaws—selfishness and pettiness that make her far less admirable. Harry, too, is a likable hero. At first infatuated with Julia, he quickly discovers her true nature when she abandons him in his sickbed—ironically, after she’s the reason he’s there. Instead, it’s Gus who proves her worth, standing by his side and even fighting the doctors who want to amputate his leg.
What I admire most about Gus is her strength and intelligence. She stands up for what she believes is right, whether facing doctors, family, or society itself. She also shows compassion by speaking with and listening to the servants—something rare for a woman of her station.
The romance between Harry and Gus feels genuine and earned. They both have a fierce need to protect each other, but what makes their relationship stand out is how they communicate. Even when it’s difficult, they don’t keep secrets, and that honesty allows them to grow stronger together. Their bond is built on mutual respect, courage, and trust—making this story both a great romance and an enjoyable, satisfying read.
